10 Favorite Things About Fall

Fall is my favorite part of the year, and these are just a few of my favorite things that happen during this season.

Halloween

...Obviously. Seeing little kids in their costumes, all excited. Getting to make scary, or cozy, decorations. A night where you can be whatever you want. It the most wonderful time of the year!
Finally getting to watch Hocus Pocus, and all the other amazing fall movies
I try to keep Hocus Pocus a fall film, so whenever the first day of the season comes, you best believe I’m on my couch watching it. Other than that, any Tim Burton movie, as well as Disney classics like Halloween Town, The Haunted Mansion, and countless others can really get you in the mood for Autumn.

Fall scented candles
The very best of them being Bergamot Waters, Sweater Weather, and Pumpkin Woods, all of these from Bath and Body Works. You can always find me in the candle aisle of whatever store I’m in, especially this time of year.

Sweaters, and scarves, and boots. Oh my!
The warm layers for fall will forever be my favorite. It’s so much easier to get warm in the fall than it is to dress for the summer.

Fall foods
Soups, s’mores, everything in between...it’s a foodie wonderland this time of year.

Hot beverages
And not being judged for drinking them. Although, I’m guilty of drinking them year-round. I can’t help it! Hot coffee, warm apple cider, hot chocolate...why would I ever want to drink them cold?

New horror movies
The cheesier the better. Movies get so much better when you’re scared and on the edge of your seat.

Thanksgiving
My family’s favorite part of the season. Making pie, eating turkey and ham, watching football, hanging out with loved ones. It’s the perfect combination.

Shows are back!
The shows that come out this time of year (The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Scandal, The Goldbergs, etc.) really set the mood for the rest of fall. Whether it’s scary, or homely, each show can get you in the mood for Autumn.

Changing weather and colors
Even here in the dry desert, we see some color change in the few trees we have. There’s also colder weather, earlier nights, and late mornings.

What to Include in Your Bullet Journal

When it comes to getting organized, one of the best things I've found is bullet journaling. I can put everything that's on my mind onto paper. If you're thinking about starting a bullet journal, I strongly recommend it, and I've come up with a list of things that could be added to anyone's bullet journal.  Monthly Calendar Keeping a monthly calendar can help a lot when it comes to remembering due dates for that specific month. It also helps being able to see everything that is going on the upcoming month with one glance. Habit Tracker This can help you with goals you want to accomplish, or healthy habits you want to create. You are able to map out exactly the things you want to do everyday, and see how often you actually do them. Divider I find that making dividers for each month lets me focus on each individual month. Also, creating the divider each month gets the creative juices flowing for planning that month out. I like to draw...
