Fall & Winter Reads

It’s getting to be the best time of the year to read. There’s nothing like sitting by the fire with a good book and a cup of coffee. This year, I’ve searched for a few books that I know I want to read this season.

  1. I’ll Give You the Sun - Jandy Nelson
  2. Two Kisses for Maddy - Matthew Logelin
  3. The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend - Katarina Bivald
  4. Walking Shoes - Lynne Gentry

This may be a small list, but I unfortunately don’t have a lot of time for reading. So I’ve compiled a list of other books that are perfect reads for the fall and winter seasons.

  1. Dracula - Bram Stoker
  2. Something Wicked This Way Comes - Ray Bradbury
  3. Harry Potter Series - J.K. Rowling
  4. The Golden Compass - Philip Pullman
  5. Tinkers - Paul Harding
  6. All The Bright Places - Jennifer Niven
  7. Looking for Alaska - John Green
  8. Tuesdays With Morrie - Mitch Albom
  9. The Goldfinch - Donna Tartt
  10. The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold

5 Ways to Get More Organized

Set reasonable goals: Make sure these goals are specific and attainable in a short amount of time. If you need to, you can split each goal into mini goals, thus making it even easier to see your progress. Get an agenda: Whether it’s a pocket agenda, a bullet journal, or just an old notebook, it’s important to be able to keep track of your day. It’s also satisfying to make lists and be able to cross each one off as you go. Declutter: The simplest step is sometimes the hardest. I always make excuses as to why I need an item that I’ve had for years. The best rule of thumb I’ve found is this: if you have more than one of it, or if you haven’t used it in a year, you don’t need it. Doing just this can make you feel vastly more organized than before. Change up storage if needed: If you find yourself always piling your papers on your desk rather than in a drawer, consider putting a folder there as a designated place for papers. Another tip is to put things that you’ve lo...

Fall is my favorite part of the year, and these are just a few of my favorite things that happen during this season. Halloween ...Obviously. Seeing little kids in their costumes, all excited. Getting to make scary, or cozy, decorations. A night where you can be whatever you want. It the most wonderful time of the year! Finally getting to watch Hocus Pocus, and all the other amazing fall movies I try to keep Hocus Pocus a fall film, so whenever the first day of the season comes, you best believe I’m on my couch watching it. Other than that, any Tim Burton movie, as well as Disney classics like Halloween Town, The Haunted Mansion, and countless others can really get you in the mood for Autumn. Fall scented candles The very best of them being Bergamot Waters, Sweater Weather, and Pumpkin Woods, all of these from Bath and Body Works.
